Houston, Texas (KTRK) – The Texans (0-1-1) visit the Chicago Bears (1-1) on Sunday, September 25, at Soldier Field for a crucial game for Houston and a special return for head coach Luffy Smith.

On his third stint as an NFL coach, Smith is back where it all began: as a rookie coach for the Bears franchise in 2004.

Smith was the first black coach in the history of the famous franchise and the eighth in the NFL. He led the Bears to Super Bowl XLI in 2007 against the Indianapolis Colts and won three NFC North Championships over the course of eight seasons (81-63 overall).

Smith’s current team is looking for offensive answers after a 16-9 loss to the Denver Broncos, where the Texans failed to score any touchdowns and managed only 234 yards of total attack.

The ineffectiveness of the unit was marred by a promising start by the Texas defense, led by rookie defenders Galen Peter and Derek Stingley, Jr.

What do Smith and others say about his return to Chicago? Will things change aggressively for Houston? Why does Peter live at home with his parents? Is Stingley “that guy”? Watch the full discussion with ABC13’s Jonathan Bruce and Texas ESPN.com writer DJ Bien-Aime in the video above.
